A man allegedly assaulted another man in front of a Bangor police officer Wednesday morning.
Jason Ladd, 42, has been charged with assault, according to Katy England, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
The officer was called to a Main Street business about 10:30 a.m. because Ladd was allegedly acting strangely.
Ladd was given a trespass notice and told to leave, England said Thursday afternoon.
While the officer was inside talking with employees, he reportedly saw Ladd assault a man outside the business.
The victim didn’t require medical attention.
Ladd was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained early Thursday afternoon, according to the jail’s website.
