LITCHFIELD — Blistered Fingers Bluegrass Festival is celebrating its 65th festival at the Litchfield Fairgrounds located on 30 Plains Road in Litchfield. Experience the magic of bluegrass music in a “Welcome Home” Country atmosphere, perfect for music lovers and families.

There will be live music on the big stage Thursday, Friday and Saturday, a Gospel Sing-A-Long and jam on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. along with 24 hours of field picking with informal jams throughout the festival grounds.  No matter the weather a rain or shine extra-large tent is set up so you can enjoy the festival!

There will be a variety of food, arts and crafts vendors available. Comforts that make the festival even better include indoor bathroom facilities, free hot showers, numerous water locations and electrical hookups throughout the grounds.

Don’t forget the Blistered Fingers Kids Academy! Blistered Fingers has a free, relaxed, informative three-day music program for children ages 6-18. This is not just a music program but an experience where kids learn bluegrass music, perform on stage, make new lifetime friends and connect with a supportive community. Students can bring their own instruments and will participate in the three day program. On Saturday of the festival the kids all get a free T-shirt and perform a couple of songs as a group on the main stage. It’s heartwarming to see so many kids participate and watch their talent bloom from year to year.

The gates will open at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23 for early bird camping. Weekend tickets for the festival will cover four days of great music and camping from Thursday to Saturday and Sunday Morning Gospel Sing Along and Jam.
