One person is reportedly dead after a small plane crashed on Thursday afternoon near the Bristol village of New Harbor.

The crash happened near Fort William Henry, the Lincoln County News reported.

A photo published by the newspaper showed the wings and tail of the upside-down plane emerging from the water.

Two people were on board the Diamond DA220, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. WMTW reported that one person died, citing the Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies at the scene.
