ELLSWORTH — The Grand is inviting adults and teens ages 13 and up to audition for its special holiday production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, directed by Kimberly Fitch with music direction by Stephanie Bradshaw.
Auditions will be held Friday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. on the Stanley Subaru Stage. Performances are scheduled for Dec. 2–5 and are sponsored by Maine Savings Federal Credit Union.
Auditioners should prepare 16–32 bars of a classic musical theater song and bring sheet music or a recorded karaoke track for the accompanist, with the portion being performed clearly marked. Acapella singing is not permitted. Participants should also be prepared to list any rehearsal or performance conflicts and may be asked to sing or read from the script.
This faithful stage adaptation brings the beloved animated television special to life as Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang discover the true meaning of Christmas.
Available roles include Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Pig Pen, Frieda, Schroeder, Violet, Sally, Patty and Shermy.
