Nesting birds started a house fire in Lee late last week.
The fire broke out about 11:53 p.m. Friday at the Ridge Road home, according to Lee Fire and Rescue.
The homeowner acted quickly to contain the blaze, but firefighters stayed at the scene to ensure no flames extended into the walls or onto the roof, Lee Fire and Rescue said Tuesday.
The home was spared severe damage.
The fire was started by a bird nest atop an outdoor light fixture.
