I am running for Belfast City Council in Ward 2.
My wife and I have called Belfast home for eight years, and we’re raising our children here. I’ve lived in Waldo County off and on since I was 18 and, throughout my career, have worked alongside Belfast residents, businesses, nonprofits, volunteers, and government partners.
I’ve seen what communities can accomplish when people feel heard, respected, and included.
My professional experience has taught me the value of strong advocacy and effective partnerships, and I’ll bring that experience and those relationships to Belfast.
What I outline below is a starting point, not a finished agenda. I don’t believe candidates should arrive with all the answers. I’ll work to:
Engage residents early and meaningfully, meeting people where they are and seeking out voices that aren’t always heard.
Build stronger partnerships with Waldo County, school districts, businesses, nonprofits, and state and federal partners.
Strengthen Belfast’s economy while keeping it affordable, supporting local businesses, expanding housing options, making smart use of city properties, and pursuing responsible growth.
Practice responsible stewardship, with clear information about budgets and major decisions, accountability for taxpayer dollars, and proper care of what we already own.
I’ll be an accessible, prepared, collaborative councilor who listens, builds partnerships, and follows through.
