Who is Lindsey Vonn?
The Olympic downhill skier’s name was the answer to Wednesday’s Final Jeopardy question. And the only contestant to get it right was Emily Burnham, a former longtime reporter for the Bangor Daily News, who was making her Jeopardy! debut.
Burnham competed against Jennifer Leavey, a technical writer originally from Ashland, Massachusetts, who won two games before being dethroned on Wednesday, and Edward Tournier, a teacher from Brooklyn, New York.
After getting off to a slow start, Burnham amassed $11,400 and led the pack with a nearly $3,000 lead over Tournier, and Leavey not much further behind.
For her Final Jeopardy wager in the category “2026 Commencement Speeches,” she bet $5,801, and with her correct answer brought her winning total to $17,201, according to thejeopardyfan.com.

Burnham returns as a Jeopardy! champion on Thursday.
