Maine State Police are asking for help identifying the driver of a pickup truck involved in a crash Friday morning in Limington.

The crash happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. when a gold Subaru sedan was traveling near 383 Cape Road and a light-colored, older-model pickup truck pulled out from Doles Ridge Road and cut in front of the Subaru, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.

The two vehicles continued traveling on Cape Road.

“When the driver of the Subaru attempted to pass the pickup, the pickup intentionally pushed into the Subaru, forcing it off the roadway,” Moss wrote in a press release.

The Subaru then struck a tree and caught fire, while the driver of the pickup allegedly continued on without stopping.

The driver of the Subaru suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could help identify the pickup or its driver is asked to contact Maine State Police at 207-624-7076, ext. 9, and ask to speak with Cpl. Wells.
