FALMOUTH — OceanView at Falmouth has welcomed Grace Minkin as a fitness specialist and promoted Grace Libby to fitness coordinator.
Minkin will work with residents to develop individual and group exercise programs based on their needs, abilities and goals. Through personalized instruction and education, she will help residents build the knowledge and confidence to support their strength, mobility and long-term well-being.
Before joining OceanView, Minkin worked as a clinical exercise physiologist in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. In that role, she supported people of varying ages, including those managing cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, and helped them safely return to their everyday activities.
Minkin earned a degree in exercise science, with a minor in leadership studies, from the University of Maine. She is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist and a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. She also holds Basic Life Support certification.
As fitness coordinator, Libby will oversee the fitness department’s daily operations, create and manage monthly class schedules, and design workout programs for residents. She also will lead group exercise classes and deliver presentations on health and fitness topics.
Libby has worked at OceanView since 2022 as a fitness specialist. In that role, she has worked with residents of varying ages, abilities and fitness levels to help them pursue their health goals and improve their quality of life through exercise.
Libby earned her bachelor’s degree in applied exercise science from the University of New England in 2022 and completed a minor in nutrition. She also is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and lives in Gorham.
