Bangor voters will have the chance to hear directly from the City Council and School Committee candidates seeking their support at a nonpartisan forum Wednesday evening.
The event will be hosted by the local League of Women Voters chapter in Bangor High School’s Peakes Auditorium.
Candidates taking the stage will include the 12 people vying for three open City Council seats — making up the largest pool in recent memory.
Only three people are running for three open School Committee seats.
School Committee candidates will speak at 5:30 p.m., and City Council candidates will begin at 6:30 p.m. You can attend in person or watch a livestream, which will also be recorded and posted on the city and League of Women Voters websites.
Residents can submit questions before the event by emailing bangor@lwvme.org. Questions at the event will be read by a moderator.
The BDN has profiled all 12 City Council candidates. You can read about them here and hear directly from them about how they’d solve Bangor’s biggest issues here.
