Troy Jackson outright lied in the CBS13/Fox23 debate on Oct. 6 against Sen. Susan Collins. In response to the question about whether Collins should regret her vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court he said, “everybody else in Maine and across this country regrets her vote.” Has he not seen or heard about the 40 Days for Life Campaign going on in Bangor right now, in which volunteers prayerfully turn out from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. to witness to the sanctity of life in front of Mabel Wadsworth Center on Mt. Hope Avenue? About 50% of people driving by give us a thumbs-up, likely affirming what we are doing.

Many Mainers do not regret the vote that sent the decision to the states and struck down Roe v. Wade. Sadly, Maine is now one of the least restrictive states in the country, akin to California, potentially allowing abortion for the full nine months of gestation due to politicians like Jackson in Augusta.

If he lies about this issue, so central to many Mainers’ voting rationale, what other lies did he say in this debate? Can you really trust Troy Jackson to be the next U.S. senator from the great state of Maine?
