I am hopeful the voters of this state will have the good sense to reelect Sen. Susan Collins in November. Her track record of working for the people of Maine speaks for itself. I believe without a doubt Collins is the hardest working legislator in Washington, never missing a single vote in the Senate.
Her track record is impressive, from securing funds for Maine’s rural fire and EMS services, to keeping Bath Iron Works viable and competitive, and securing hundreds of millions of dollars for Maine’s hospitals. These are a few of her successes that benefit all Mainers.
I believe that anyone who thinks sending a rookie, freshman senator to Washington to replace Collins is a good idea should rethink their position or get serious help. I think that no freshman senator, regardless of name, would be able to accomplish even one-tenth of what Collins can, given her position in the Senate.
Susan Collins has proven her worth to Mainers through her many years of hard work.
Maine has one of the highest tax burdens in the nation along with some of the highest electricity rates largely because of policies coming from Augusta. Her opponent has been in Augusta for many years presiding over these very policies, and now thinks we should send him to Washington to fight for Mainers. I, for one, have seen all I care to see regarding how Troy Jackson fights for Mainers.
Susan Collins is “Our Senator” and I believe she deserves your vote in November.
