Happy Monday!

We’ve got another mild day ahead with highs in the mid-50s to mid-60s. The next couple days will see temperatures peaking in the 40s before we get another taste of the 60s on Thursday.

Skies will be partly cloudy across most of the state, but there’s a chance for rain showers up north.

In the final push before Election Day, Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins and Democrat Troy Jackson are appealing to a crucial bloc of voters who could sway the race’s outcome: women 50 and older.

In a late September AARP, Collins held a 4-point edge among women 50 and older, who make up about a third of Maine’s likely voters, although these women favored Democrats for Congress and governor but still leaned toward Collins.

Several women interviewed by the Bangor Daily News described the race as more nerve-wracking than any they had experienced. They were starkly divided over the candidates’ abilities and character and whether President Donald Trump’s low approval and relationship with Collins looms over the race.
