In 2024, we voted for a better, more affordable life.
Where are we now? Sadly, it seems we mistakenly elected leaders who now bear responsibility for several painful consequences. We are involved in a war we neither understand nor consent to. We punish beloved neighboring countries and pay exorbitant prices because of tariffs that bring us no benefit.
Our new leaders paint a rosy picture, but let’s examine it carefully. Instead of elected officials representing our welfare and rights, we have a divided House of Representatives. Half stand for the people; half support the government, and we are beginning to distrust both. Who’s in charge?
So far, they have succeeded in pulling the wool over our eyes. They have been spectacularly successful at one thing: perfecting corruption, shifting the country to financial interests where only the wealthy matter. They hold the key to our treasury and spend taxpayers’ money while we lose ground every day in meeting expenses, affording health care for our families, not to mention gas for our cars.
What can be done before we lose the chance to stop a landslide of corruption? There is one solution; it belongs to us. We have the power to change it, but we must act. We must reduce the danger and start correcting it. Let us all work together toward a better future.
