What’s a Maine farmer, logger, or fisherman to do? The price of diesel just went through the roof. Even if you don’t work the land or sea, the increased cost of shipping goods hits us all.
Between the never-ending war on Iran and tariff taxes, federal policies are driving the cost of living sky high. Inflation ran over 5% in August and it now takes $100 to fill the pick-up with gas!
The president’s poor handling of the economy has cost every Maine household about $5,000 so far and with no end in sight.
In response, our senator Susan Collins mostly just wrings her hands with “concern.” I think she’s done too little that is meaningful to stop the war, the tariffs, or other national policy blunders.
That’s why I believe we need fresh elected officials who will fight tirelessly for Maine families.
Let’s thank Sen. Collins for her 50-plus years of public service and wish her a happy retirement after Nov. 3.
