Pete graduated from Bangor High School in 1980 and earned a B.S. in Journalism (Advertising) from the University of Maine in 1986. He grew up fishing at his family's camp on Sebago Lake but didn't take up hunting until the age of 44. Pete was a member of the BDN Sports staff from 1982 until earlier this year when he became the Outdoors Editor. He and his wife Annia have been married for 37 years and have two adult sons, William and Paul. Pete is fluent in Spanish and he enjoys hunting, fishing and listening to jazz.
