HAMLIN – Joseph “Ken” Gibson, 64, died Aug. 29, 2008, at his residence on Riverview Drive. He was born April 5, 1944, in Connor, New Brunswick, the son of James S. and Jeanne (Milliard) Gibson. Ken is survived by his wife, Lina (Thibodeau) Gibson of Hamlin; one son, Steven W. Gibson and his wife, Andrea, of Las Vegas; one daughter, Cynthia Vose and her husband, Mark, of Bristol, Conn.; seven sisters, Stella Forehand and her husband, Don, of Tequesta, Fla., Ruth Thibeault and her husband, Edward, of Fort Kent, Marilyn Mason of Plainville, Conn., Margo Jacumen of Bonneau, S.C., Albertine Hewitt and her husband, David, of New Sweden, Laura Cote and her husband, Daniel, of Biddeford and Betty Marlowe and her husband, Richard, of Bath; six brothers, Ray Gibson and his wife, Jeannette, of Fort Kent, Al Gibson of Dallas, Larry Gibson and Ronald Gibson, both of Van Buren, Raynold Gibson of Milldale, Conn., and Greg Gibson and his wife, Sandra, of Cumberland; two grandchildren, Seth and Kayla Vose; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin sister, Kathleen Gibson; a sister, Verna Ollar; and two brothers, James E. Gibson and Roger Gibson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery.
