BOSTON (AP) — The Coast Guard helicopter has airlifted an injured Maine fisherman from a vessel 34 miles off the coast of Nantucket and flown him to a Boston hospital.

The Coast Guard received a radio call around 2 a.m. from the Maine-based Harmony, which reported that a crew member suffered a head injury.

Petty Officer Connie Terrell says a Jayhawk helicopter crew from Cape Cod transported the 42-year-old victim to a hospital in Boston. The man’s condition wasn’t known.

The Harmony is a 90-foot fishing boat based in Portland.
