MATHILDA OUELLETTE ST. AGATHA – Mathilda Ouellette, 91, died peacefully Sept. 6, 2008, surrounded by her family at Ridgewood Estates. She was born March 4, 1917, in St. Agatha, the daughter of Belone and Marie (Marquis) Chamberland. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 145 of Frenchville and Ladies of St. Anne. She is survived by Gilman and Ann of New Britain, Conn., Allyre and his wife, Darlene, of Lebanon, Danny of St. Agatha, Reginald and his wife, Beatrice, of Frenchville, Florence Martin of Madawaka and Jeannine and her husband, Paul Bourgoin, of Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters-in-law, Emily of Madawaska and Marie-Jeanne of Madawaska; two sons-in-law, Bert Cyr of Connecticut and Phil Picard of St. Agatha; 18 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; one brother, Roger and his wife, Bertille, of St. Agatha; three sisters, Rita St. Amand of Connecticut, Rena and her husband, Rene Lizotte, of St. Agatha and Theresa Chasse of Madawaska; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Denis; five sons, Bertrand, Marc Emile, Robert, Jean Paul and Claude; two daughters, Jackie and Linda; six brothers, Conrad, Armand, Warren, Abel, Louis and Roland Chamberland; and two sisters, Lucina Plourde and Marie Theresa Chamberland. Friends and relatives may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Agatha Catholic Church, St. Agatha, with the Rev. Dave Raymond officiating. Burial will be at St. Agatha Lower Cemetery.
