ASHLAND – Pauline Deabay, 81, died unexpectedly Sept. 14, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 23, 1927, in West Enfield, the daughter of Joseph and Angeline (Theriault) Goslin. She was employed at Potato Service, Presque Isle, for a number of years, and had also volunteered at Good Shepherd Thrift Shop, Ashland. Pauline is survived by her husband, Freeman Deabay Sr. of Ashland; four sons, Michael Deabay and his wife, Heather, of Brandywine, Md., Freeman Deabay Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Ashland, Scott Deabay and his wife, Margie, of Carmel, and Shawn Deabay and his wife, Sloane, of Hutto, Texas; three daughters, Joy St. Pierre and her husband, Dennis, of Bucksport, Peggy Tibbetts and her husband, Leonard, of Garfield, and Lyn Clark and her husband, Don, of Old Town; one brother, Victor “Sharky” Goslin of East Hartford, Conn.; two sisters, Arlene Wagner of Buffalo, N.Y., and Madeline Albie of Meriden, Conn.; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call 2:30-4 and 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service at St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashland, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be at the parish cemetery. Those who wish may contribute in her memory to St. Mark Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
