SAINT JOHN, New Brunswick – The Rev. Kenneth J. Foote, 69, of Cedarwood Drive, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 4, 2008, at Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born April 10, 1939, in Seal Cove, Grand Manan, New Brunswick, the son of the late Otis Randal and Agnes (Fraser) Foote. He studied at Bethany Bible College, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and in Sussex, New Brunswick. After attending Bethany Bible College, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, he was an evangelist with Youth For Christ, and then returned to Bethany Bible College, Sussex, New Brunswick, for his Bachelor of Arts in religion. While living in Vancouver, British Columbia, during the 1980s, he began his work on a Master of Theology degree through The Vancouver School of Theology. Rev. Foote was a minister with the Wesleyan and Free Methodist churches. He pastored across Canada and the U.S. at Stacyville Reformed Baptist Church, Amherst Wes-leyan Church, Tillsonburg Free Methodist Church, where he also had a radio broadcast, New Westminster Free Methodist Church, Fraserview Free Methodist Church and Powassan Wesleyan Church. During his time in the ministry, he expressed his love for life and reaching out to others as he expressed God’s love for them. He would spend many hours in prayer for the lost, and studying God’s word. Ken also had a love of animals; he had a pet eagle named Jim that he pulled from the nest and raised and three German shepherds, Silver, Charis and Tara. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Judith; sons, Daniel and his wife, Beverly, of Penobsquis, and Dwaye and his wife, Stefanie and Robert; daughter, Laura Lee, all of Saint John, New Brunswick; brothers, Theodore and Wilbur; four grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Caleb and Jacob; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Bernice. A celebration of Kenneth’s life was held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at First Wesleyan Church with the Dr. Rev. H.C. Wilson officiating. Interment took place at Browns Flat Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, New Brunswick.
