CARIBOU – Geneva Rose Chapman, 80, wife of the late Llewellyn Chapman, died Sept. 18, 2008, in Caribou. She was born March 9, 1928, in Caribou, the daughter of Alfred and Lida (Meldrem) Anderson. She was a graduate of the Caribou High School. Geneva was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a member of Caribou United Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Gregory E. Chapman of Presque Isle and Jan L. Chapman of Gray; one daughter, Rebecca J. Soucier and her husband, Thomas, of Gray; three sisters, Della Overman of Dallas, Marjorie Crandall and Lida Sharp, both of Caribou; three granddaughters, one grandson, several great-grandchildren, three stepgrandsons, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela J. Osterhout; two brothers, Harold and Harry; and two sisters, Berdinna and Adeline. Friends may call noon until time of funeral services Saturday, Sept. 20, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where services will begin 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Kiehn, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
