WINTERPORT and STOCKTON SPRINGS – Adrian E. Basford, 52, died June 9, 2007, in Prospect, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born June 26, 1954, in Bangor, son of Fred and Clara (Walker) Basford. He worked in the trucking industry for more than 30 years and was, at the time of his death, employed as service manager of Daigle & Houghton Western Star Dealership, Hermon. Adrian was a humble, loyal friend, whose home was open to friends and family, and an avid outdoorsman, who en-joyed hunting, fishing, and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gloria (Harriman) Basford of Winterport; his two daughters, Jennifer Cyr and her husband, Michael, of Orrington and Amy Basford and her partner, Jennifer Santos, of Los Altos, Calif.; his three grandchildren, Zachery, Hannah and Cooper Cyr; two sisters, Florence Basford of Searsport and Freda Basford Wright of Bangor; brother, Aaron Basford and his wife, Jennifer, of Collingdale, Pa.; several nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, Fred and Clara Basford, he was predeceased by a brother, Wendell; and a brother, Wallace, who died six hours after Adrian’s accident, in an automobile accident. Visitation for Adrian and Wallace will be held 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Stockton Springs Community Church, Church Street, Stockton Springs. Interment will be at Village Cemetery, Detroit.
