KNOXVILLE, Tenn., and HOULTON – Emily Gertrude Peabody went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 9, 2007. She was the daughter of John R. and Fern Cowperthwaite Nason. She was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church, East Winthrop Baptist and New Sevier Home Baptist Church. Emily was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting and the creation of hand made treasures. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Stephen Peabody; a brother, Ralph Nason; and four sisters, Bertha Clark, Myrtle Picel, Laura Ames and Henrietta Bell. She is survived by a daughter, Josephine and her husband, Ronald Bryant, of Knoxville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
