ELLSWORTH – Alan “Jack” Weymouth, 73, died Nov. 27, 2003, at his residence. He was born May 24, 1930, in Bangor, the son of Merle P. and Vera (Jordan) Weymouth. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War where he received a Bronze Star. He worked as a logger and woodsman for the paper companies for most of his life. Jack and his family also owned and operated Sunset Lodge Camp in Ellsworth for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathleen (Johnson) Weymouth; two sons, Alan J. Weymouth Jr. of Orland, Kyle E. Weymouth and wife, Heidi, of Jacksonville, N.C.; four daughters, Barbara J. Weymouth and fianc‚, Christopher Gordon, of Annapolis, Md., Karen B. Cunningham and husband, Vernon, of Old Town, Becky J. Osgood of Ellsworth and Tara J. Weymouth of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, Richard Weymouth and wife, Beverly, of Columbia, S.C.; and a sister, Mary Stevens and husband, Daniel, of Holden; three grandchildren, Justin Osgood, Natasha Sala and Jackson Weymouth. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, with the Rev. James Wood presiding.
