BELFAST – Alberta A. McIntosh, 80, of Belfast, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at a local health care facility. She was born July 1, 1924, in Rangeley, the daughter of John and Guida Greene. Alberta lived in Rangeley and Portland before moving to Belfast in 1959. She worked for 23 years in the Dietary Department of the Waldo County General Hospital and later became a home caretaker for several years. She enjoyed painting ceramic crafts. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, John Croy and a daughter, Sandra Croy; two brothers, Jack and Delbert Greene; and a sister, Fonda Palmer. Alberta is survived by her husband of 49 years, James McIntosh; a son, Raymond Greene of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to the Waldo County General Hospital, 116 Northport Ave., Belfast, ME 04915.
