BAILEYVILLE – Albin Dennis McCray, 69, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at his home. Albin was born April 8, 1938, in Baileyville, the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Merritt) McCray. He married Gladys Hanson in Calais, April 12, 1968. Albin was employed with Georgia Pacific for more than 25 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of People’s United Methodist Church and Quarter Century Club with Georgia Pacific. Albin enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Freda McCray; two brothers, Merritt and Charles McCray; and a special aunt, Barbara Boomer. Surviving are his loving wife of more than 39 years, Gladys McCray; his son, Corey McCray of Baileyville; three sisters, Patsy Hill and her husband, Earl, of Alexander, Barbara Hickok and her husband, Tom, of Matthews, N.C., and Jill Hamilton and her husband, Lyle, of Princeton; three brothers, Edward McCray of South Meriden, Conn., Cecil Moreside and his wife, Irene, of Calais and Chester McCray and his wife, Shirley, of Baileyville; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Bernie Ham-mond officiating.
