EDDINGTON – Linwood L. Harlow, 73, died Feb. 23, 2008, at a Bangor health care center. He was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Bangor, the son of Leroy and Hilda (Seavey) Harlow. Linwood was a graduate of Bangor High School and was a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He served in the Maine Air National Guard as an aircraft instrument repairman. He work-ed in the building trades in Saudi Arabia in the 1970s. He held four masters’ licenses in electrical, plumbing, oil burner and solar generation. Linwood retired as owner of the Airline Mechanical Co., Eddington. His hobbies were railroads, antique trucks, boats and membership in the TCA. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Barbara Jean Harlow; a son, Wayne Brian Harlow, both of Eddington; one brother, Carrol Harlow of Orrington; a cousin, Robert Pomroy Sr. of Bangor; and three nephews, Dana, Dean and David Harlow. He will be sadly missed by his friends, Joe and Rhonda Gopan of Hampden. Linwood loved his two labs, Tuffy and Riley. His family wishes to thank the staff at Eastside Rehabilitation and Living Center for the care they provided Linwood during his stay there. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, with the Rev. Clayton Blackstone, pastor of Advent Christian Church of Bangor, officiating.
