ELLSWORTH – Albion E. Hinckley Jr., 81, died Sept. 8, 2006, at his home in Ellsworth. He was born Aug. 16, 1925, in Portland, the son of Albion E. and Marguerite (McNeil) Hinckley Sr. “Hinky-Doo” owned and operated his own business, which included garbage disposal and septic tank services. After he sold his business, he went to work for the city of Ellsworth where he worked on the maintenance crew. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Haney and husband, William, of Vero Beach, Fla.; one son, Wayne Hinckley of Machias; grandchildren, Tasha, Melissa, Danielle, Stacey, Tammy, Jody, Lisa, Rodney, Everett, Wayne, Candi and Paul; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel J. Hinckley September 2003; and by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Everett Dorr April 2002. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
