MADAWASKA – Aldrie D. Cyr, 88, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Feb. 3, 1920, in St. David, the son of Dennis and Annie (Sirois) Cyr. He was a member of the American Legion, Madawaska, for many years. Aldrie worked for Fraser Papers for 36 years until his retirement in 1984. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise (Langdo) Cyr of Madawaska; one son, Real Cyr and his wife, Monique, of Madawaska; one granddaughter, Peggy and her husband, Michael Levasseur, of Edmundston, New Brunswick; one grandson, Eric Cyr and his wife, Donna, of Madawaska; one great-grandson, Ashton; and one sister, Lena Guerrette of Orlando, Fla. In addition to his parents, Aldrie was predeceased by one son, Raymond; 11 brothers and four sisters. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be after the service at St. David Cemetery.
