SOLDIER POND – Alfred F. Beaulieu, 90, died June 19, 2004, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. He was born Feb. 23, 1914, in New Canada Plantation, the son Honore and Odile (Pelletier) Beaulieu. He was a potato grower most of his life until he retired in 1977. He was a member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus of Fort Kent, and the Catholic Order of Foresters of Wallagrass. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ernestine (Voisine) Beaulieu of Fort Kent; one daughter, Mrs. Rena Daigle and her husband, Richard, of Bristol, Conn.; six sons, Roland of Eagle Lake, Carl and Ann of Soldier Pond, Harold of Soldier Pond, Dana and his wife, Hilda, of Soldier Pond, Rodney and his wife, Ellen, of Plantsville, Conn., and Alan and his wife, Lucy, of Soldier Pond; four brothers, Martin of Madawaska, Ross of New York, Sylvio of South Carolina, and Paul of New Britian, Conn.; three sisters, Maybelline Nadeau of Southington, Conn., Therese Dube of Narranja, Fla., and Juliette Beaulieu of Biddeford; five grandsons; five granddaughters; four great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Alfred was predeceased by two daughters, Jennie, in 1949, and Ellen, in 1960; a daughter-in-law, Joyce, in 1995; a grandson, Marc, in 1996; one brother, Camille; and two sisters, Aurore Bouchard and Jeanne St. Amand. Friends may call 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of departure for Solider Pond, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Soldier Pond, with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Solider Pond.
