CARIBOU – Alfred J. Sirois, 74, died Nov. 9, 2007, in Caribou, after a long illness. He was born Sept. 30, 1933, in Island Falls, the son of Eli and Helena (Socia) Sirois. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1957. Alfred was employed at Anderson Beverage Co., for 28 years and Solman Distributors for five years before retiring. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and was a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post No. 15 American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He loved to play cribbage at the Senior Citizens Group in Caribou. He married Ginette (Willig) Sirois Oct. 21, 1957, in France. Surviving, in addition to his wife of Caribou, are one son and daughter-in-law, Mark R. and Brenda L. Sirois of Caribou; two brothers, William Sirois and his wife, Bertha, of Connecticut, and Gilbert Sirois of Island Falls; two sisters, Lorena Fox of Fort Fairfield and Janet Russell and her husband, Jerry, of Island Falls; a sister-in-law, Danil? Briot; two brothers-in-law, Andre and Christian Willig, all of Metz, France; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Patrick R. and Danny R. Sirois; and a sister, Cecilia Plourde. Friends may call 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, until time of services at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where services will be held noon at the chapel of the funeral home with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place at Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Alfred may do so to the Henry B.
