LUBEC – Alfred M. Havens, 65, passed away March 9, 2005, at his home in Lubec. He was born June 26, 1939, in New London, Conn., the son of Willis and Laura (Scott) Havens. He entered the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17. He met his wife while stationed at Bucks Harbor Air Force Station. He loved sports of all sorts. He was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Natalie, of 43 years; a brother, Charles Havens; and a granddaughter, Connie Havens. He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Foley and her husband, Warren, of Lubec, Marilyn Kelley and her husband, Kevin, of Corinth, Roxanne Klimmek and her husband, John, of Rocklin, Calif.; son, Ralph Havens and his wife, Rosie, of China, Maine; seven grandchildren, Melanie Bradford, Bethany Preston, Justin Foley, Megan Klimmek, Ashley Klimmek, Derek Havens, Adam Havens; one sister, Mary Delorme; a brother, Robert Smith; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a special friend, Roger Wright. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005, at the Ridge Baptist Church, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Rob Green officiating. Interment in Split Hill Cemetery in the spring.
