BLUE HILL – Alfred M. Kennison, 96, died Aug. 12, 2008, at a Blue Hill hospital. He was born Jan. 17, 1912, in Brownville, the son of Willis H. and Isabel (Wright) Kennison. He was employed at Railway Express Agency, Springfield, Mass., from 1936 to 1972 and at Wesson Memorial Hospital, before moving to Ellsworth in 1976. He became a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows in December 1946, and was awarded an honorary life membership in 1999. He was an active volunteer in the American Red Cross Blood Donor program from 1955 to 1995. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Elizabeth C. Henderson; his daughter, Louise K. Storer and husband, C. Allyn, of Ellsworth; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Albert in 1980. At Alfred’s request, there will be no visiting hours. Memorial services will be held at a later date with interment in the family plot at Brownville Community Cemetery, Brownville. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
