LIMESTONE – Alfreda Marie Edgecomb, 83, wife of the late Horace A. Edgecomb died peacefully Feb. 4, 2005, at her Limestone residence following a long illness. She was born July 13, 1921, in St. Andre N.B. Canada the daughter of Simon and Cecila (Michaud) Mazerolle. She was educated in the Limestone schools. She married Horace Almon Edgecomb on April 15, 1939, and they were married for over 52 years until his death July 8, 1991. Bea enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting beautiful afghans, socks, mittens and sweaters for her family. She did the Bangor Daily crosswords faithfully. When she was well, Ms. Edgecomb enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, especially carnations. She enjoyed lovely jewelry, looking her best, dancing and family gatherings. Bea was devoted to children, animals, and loved telling a good story. She supported her husband, a life long potato and dairy farmer. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Bernard and Norma Edgecomb of Hooksett, N.H., John and Patricia Edgecomb and Gerald and Leona Michaud all of Limestone; four daughters, Constance Edgecomb of Nashua N.H., Winnifred Edgecomb, Barbara Thompson and Patsy Masse all of Limestone; siblings, Claire Libby of Scarborough, Rose Marie Mazerolle of Wallingford, Conn., Cecile Gallop of Bethlehem, Conn., Lawrence Mazerolle of New York, Emile Mazerolle of Westbrook, Camille Mazerolle of New Mexico, Alfred Mazerolle of Dewey, Ariz., Albert Mazerolle of Spain, Leo Mazerolle of Salem, N.Y., and Janet Michaud of Hamlin; 12 grandchildren, Danny and Garrett Michaud, Dennis and Paul Vassak, Sherry Plateroti, Chris Cowan, Chris Edgecomb, Celine Racicot, Will Edgecomb, Sean and William Ward and Lance Masse. 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Edgecomb was predeceased by her husband, one daughter, Kathleen Vassak; and three brothers, Louis, Wilfred and Charles Mazerolle; and a sister, Irene Love. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. The family invites everyone to meet them at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at St. Louis Catholic Church where Fr. Jean Paul Labrie, will officiate in a funeral Mass. Interment will be in the St. Louis Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Edgecomb may do so through the charity of ones choice.
