ST. AGATHA – Alice Chasse, 94, daughter of Pea and Agnes (LaBreque) Chasse, passed away March 7, 2008, at High View Manor, Madawaska. Alice was born July 4, 1913, in St. Agatha. The house she was born in still stands overlooking Long Lake, which she dearly loved. Alice is survived by her younger brother, Albert Pea Chasse and his wife, Anita (Lizotte) Chasse, present residents of High View Manor, Madawaska; numerous nephews and nieces, especially her favorite, Armand Chasse, son of Laetus and Leona Ayotte of St. Agatha. She had 11 other brothers and sisters, all of whom have predeceased her, Laetus and Leona (Ayotte), Patrick and Anne (Plourde), Rosaire and Therese (Michaud), Eva and Paul Dube, Edith and Donat (Bernash), Annie and Marc Plourde, Alvine, Marie, Sadie, Albertine and Irene. The Chasse family thanks the staff and nurses of High View Manor, Madawaska, for the excellent care she received while she was a resident of that facility. She really felt at home and cared for during her stay there during the remaining years of her long life. Family and friends may pay their respects 9-10 a.m. March 11 at Michaud’s Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A church service will be after, starting 10 a.m. at St. Agatha Church.
