CARIBOU – Alice Clark Purser, 53, died Jan. 14, 2007, in Bangor. She was born April 4, 1953, in Caribou, the daughter of William and Mina (Hughes) Clark. Alice was a 1971 graduate of Caribou High School and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister and will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert Purser of Caribou; three sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Allison Clark of Del Leon Springs, Fla., Bobby and Judy Smith of Presque Isle and Jeremiah Smith of Caribou; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Randy and Gail Clark of New Sweden, Wally and Jan Clark of Stockholm and Daniel Clark of El Paso, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eva Clark Young and William Young of Fredericksburg, Va., and Wendy Clark McLaughlin and Jerry McLaughlin of New Sweden; four grandchildren, Erika Cole and Mackenzie, Ellie and Sean Smith. Alice was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Johnny Clark. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
