LEE and BANGOR – Alice J. Pickering, 68, wife of the late Earl Pickering, died June 29, 2005, in Bangor. Born in Lincoln, April 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Donald Cole and Marion (Cushman) Cole Hillman. Alice enjoyed being with her many friends. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She is survived by a daughter, Debra Drake and her husband, Darrell; and two sons, Thomas Pickering and his wife, Cindy, and Peter Pickering, all of Lee; seven grandchildren, Leah, Mandy, Cassie, Dustin, Shelby, Drew and Peter Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Colby and Gage; two sisters, Betty Steeves of Enfield, and Gloria Ogden of Lee. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Frederick Pickering; and a brother, Donnie Cole. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Steven Brown, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee.
