ST. FRANCIS – Mr. Elner Michaud, 77, passed away June 28, 2005, at his home with his wife and son at his side. Elner was born Dec. 14, 1927, in St. Francis, the son of Henry and Mary Michaud. He served in the U.S. Army as a military police. Elner worked for International Paper Co., for 30 years until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Guinda (Taggett) Michaud of St. Francis; a son, Terry Michaud and daughter-in-law, Blinda Michaud; grandson, Chuck Michaud and his wife, Kriston, of Presque Isle; granddaughter, Denise Michaud Corriveau and her husband, Randy Corriveau of Wallagrass; grandson, Jesse Michaud of Farmington; grandson, Justin Michaud of Portland; three great-grandchildren, Madison and Conner Michaud of Presque Isle and MacKenzie Corriveau of Wallagrass; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his only brother, Wayne Michaud. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, and 11 a.m. Friday until the time of departure for St. Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal services will follow in the new St. Charles Cemetery, St. Francis. <>
