CARIBOU – Olive Mae McDougal, wife of the late Donald F. McDougal, died June 29, 2005, at a Caribou healthcare facility. She was born May 1, 1925, at Arthurette, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Robert E. and Emma (Bell) Sprague. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Olive was an excellent cook and enjoyed gardening. She is survived three brothers, Glen Sprague and his wife, Bernice, of Saskatchewan, Canada, Mac Sprague of Woodstock, N.B., and Wallace Sprague of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; one sister, Violet Sprague of Houlton; her niece, Gloria Richardson and her husband, Barry, of Easton; and her nephew, Perry Sprague and his wife, Diane, of Arthurette, N.B. Canada; brother-in-law, Darrel McDougal and his wife, Betty, of Little Madawaska Lake; and her sister-in-law, Avis Armstrong, of Caribou. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald on Sept. 17, 2002; four brothers, Bruce, James, Chet and Lee Sprague; and by two sisters, Mary Sprague and Ruth Davison. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou Friday, July 1, 2005 from 10 a.m. until time of services, which will be at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Kiehn, pastor of the Caribou United Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Olive may do so through the Maine Veterans’ Home memorial fund or to Hospice of Aroostook. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.
