MILLINOCKET – Alice M. O’Kane, 71, wife of Jerome P. O’Kane, died Aug. 30, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 3, 1935, in Millinocket, the daughter of Harold J. and Josephine (Willette) McDougall. Alice enjoyed spending her summers with her family at Ambajejus Lake and took much pride in making friends and loved ones her afghans, socks and mittens. Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 51 years are her children, Delores C. Pineau and her husband, Bernard J., Carol J. Bouchard and Marjorie R. O’Kane; two grandsons, Benjamin A. Gallant and Michael T. York; two brothers, Harold J. McDougall and Walter J. McDougall and his wife, Betty; three sisters, Evelyn J. Brown and her husband, Loren, Ethel A McFarland and Catherine King and her husband, Robert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jerome Jr. “Joey”; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Raymond and Marjorie O’Kane; and sister-in-law, Jean McDougall. There will be a graveside service 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Millinocket Cemetery.
