GLENBURN – Alicia M. (Ireland) Goode, 85, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 19, 2008. She was born May 5, 1923, in South Lincoln, the daughter of George and Vera (Farrington) Ireland. Alicia had a deep passion for God and her church. She was a member of Charleston Pentecostal Church for more than 33 years and greatly enjoyed her Sunday school involvement during that time. She is survived by her children, Larry and his wife, Goldie, of Hudson, Pamela Day and her husband, Ronald, of Garland and Mark and his wife, Elizabeth Goode, of McKinney, Texas; sister, Lorna Young and her husband, Bud, of Dedham; brother, Esmond and his wife, Ina, of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Glen V. Goode; daughter, Marie Goode; sister, Annie Carey; brothers, George, Aaron, Leamon and Stuart Ireland; and granddaughter, Eliana Corvino. Alicia’s family would like to recognize her fondness for her PCA, Carol Treadwell and food pantry volunteers, Norris and Dorothea Munson, and all the time and care they gave to her. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 2-3 p.m. Monday, June 23, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 3 p.m. with her nephew, the Rev.
