TOWN HILL – Allan R. “Pud” Wentworth Sr., 73, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at a Bar Harbor hospital. He was born March 22, 1933, in West Tremont, the son of Alonzo R. and Carolyn R. (Pomroy) Wentworth. Pud is survived by six children, Sharon Lietz and her husband, Roy, of Fort Myers, Fla., Rosemary Hokenson and her husband, Dave, of Las Vegas, Nev., Linda Daley of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Loretta Kundert and her husband, Richard, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ellen Wentworth of Franklin and Allan Wentworth Jr. of Town Hill; five stepchildren, Bruce Leighton of Newport, Patricia Hibbard and her husband, Fred, of Town Hill, Kenneth Leighton and his wife, Liz, of Trenton, Geneva Jones of Penobscot and Mark Wotton and his wife, Dorene, of Walden, N.Y.; a brother, Malcolm Wentworth and his wife, Paula, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a special friend, Mary Belanger of Bass Harbor and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian Wentworth; two brothers, Alton and James Wentworth; six sisters, Juanita Campbell, Katherine Kelly, Marion Daniels, Hazel Sanborn, Rose Wentworth, and Millicent Wentworth.
