CORINNA – Yvonne L. Perras, 82, passed into eternal life Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born July 21, 1923, in Northbridge, Mass., the daughter of Alberic and Phoebe (Dusablon) Perras. She served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Upon discharge from the service, she worked in the Hartford, Conn. area before moving to Corinna in 1957. Employed at the Dexter Shoe factory since it opened in 1957, she retired in 1985 after 28 years of service. Yvonne had a great love of nature, from the cultivation of flowers to the care of all God’s creatures – house pets and wildlife alike. Yvonne’s extended family will miss her love and gentle nature, especially her “adopted daughters” Sue, Anita and Linda; but we are comforted knowing that “Aunt Yvonne” is resting peacefully in God’s loving hands. She is survived by Imelda Violette, her special friend of 57 years; a brother, Raymond; cousins, nieces and nephews. Miss Perras is predeceased by her parents, two sisters and a brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter with the Rev. Fr. James Robichaud officiating. Spring burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Assoc., 7 Palmer Rd., Skowhegan, ME 04976. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Corinna. For more information or to sign the online guest book, go to www.CrosbyNeal.com
