WASHBURN – Alton W. Plourde, 90, died at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. He was born Aug. 21, 1913, in Smyrna, the son of Thomas and Esther (Dechene) Pluard. He was an avid outdoorsman especially enjoying hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cecilia (Sirois) Plourde of Presque Isle; sons, Dennis Plourde of Bangor, Eugene Plourde and his wife, Tina, of Brewer and Wayne Plourde of Dixmont; daughters, Sherry Carmichael of Washington, Maine; Susan Lofton of Waynesboro, Miss., Darlene Rinks and her husband, Warren, of Bangor and Donna Chase and her husband, Dale, of Wilmantic; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Saturday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home 3 p.m. until the time of the service. A spring interment will be in the Crouseville Cemetery.
