FORT KENT – Alve Theriault, 84, died peacefully Jan. 6, 2006, at his residence. He was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Fort Kent, the son of Octave and Adelle (Long) Theriault. Alve was a member of the VFW Lozier O’Grady Post No. 9609 of Fort Kent. He as a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Alve was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, he also enjoyed playing and listening to music. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Melissa (Cyr) Theriault of Fort Kent; two sons, Carroll Theriault and his wife, Diane, of Madawaska, Roger Theriault and his wife, Carmen, of St. Agatha; two daughters, Phyllis and her husband, Donald LeClaic, of Manchester, Conn., Rena Mae and her husband, Dwyane Hutchison, of Bristol, Conn.; 13 grandchildren, Brenda, and Kim Pelletier, Karen Huard, Rene Stevens, Michelle Markie, Todd Caron, T.J. Houles, Deseree Fusco, Sherry Grezel, Michael and Arthur Saucier, C.J. and Tiffany Theriault; and several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to both parents, he was predeceased by a son, Shermon Theriault; one son-in-law, Gil Caron; two brothers and one sister. Friends may call 8 a.m. Monday, at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent, until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent, with the Rev. Paul Labree, officiating. Spring burial will be held May 11, in the parish cemetery. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Aroostook, P.O.
