LEWISTON – Amy L. Profit, 34, died quietly in her sleep Sunday morning, July 12, 2008, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a short illness. Amy was born June 28, 1974, in Bangor, daughter of Patrick A. Carroll and Vicki L. (Anthony) Lindsey. Amy grew up in Bangor and attended schools in Bangor, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Yokohama, Japan, where she was proud of the distinction of being the only red haired student. Amy’s life was devoted to her three children, Jessie, Travis and Bryan. Anyone who knows or interacts with any them will clearly see evidence of Amy’s dedication, love and generosity. Her love of music and her beautiful voice will resonate with those that knew her for a very longtime, and it lives on in her daughter, Jessie. In addition to her children, Amy is survived by her mother, Vicki Lindsey of Veazie; her father, Patrick Carroll of Falmouth; her brother, Christopher Carroll and his wife, Melissa, of Little Rock, Ark.; her sister, Tiffany Lindsey of Veazie; her sister, Laura Carroll of Falmouth; her grandparents, Dale and Lucille Anthony of Newburgh; her stepmother, Susan Carroll of Falmouth; her stepfather, Robert Lindsey of Veazie; her longtime friend, Jamie McKenzie of Rumford; a nephew, a niece, many, aunts, uncles and cousins. Amy often spoke of her grandparents, Lucille and Dale, and was grateful for the support, love and affection they continuously displayed. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Central Maine Medical Center for making Amy’s last hours as comfortable as possible, and for the respect and friendship shown by the entire staff. A private ceremony of remembrance will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations, if desired, be made to a fund for the children in care of Dale Anthony, 2092 Carmel Road North, Newburgh, ME 04444. Arrangements are under the care of Funeral Alternatives Group, 25 Tampa St., Lewiston.
