FORT FAIRFIELD – Mrs. Anita E. Saucier, 75, wife of the late Edmund Saucier, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at a Portland medical center following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 17, 1928, at Fort Kent, the daughter of Alfred V. and Pauline M. (Soucy) Beaulieu. She attended Fort Kent schools and was married to Edmund Saucier on Nov. 11, 1947. Mrs. Saucier was a communicant of the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Paul-Lockhart Post No. 6187 Fort Fairfield. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Saucier was predeceased by her husband on Oct. 18, 1997 and by four brothers, Sylvio, Romeo, Philip and Lawrence Beaulieu. She is survived by two daughters, Theresa J. Saucier and Freda M. Saucier both of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Valere and Juanita Beaulieu of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Rita Voisine of Bedford, N.H., several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. L. Chanel Cyr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. L. Chanel Cyr, Celebrant. Interment will take place at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to join in a time of fellowship and refreshment at the VFW Paul-Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately following the funeral Mass. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Saucier to her family to be used in accordance with their wishes in care of, Dorsey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 567, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
