BANGOR – Ann Marie Machonis, 46, went to be with the Lord, Feb. 16, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1957, in Eglin, Mass., the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Poisson) Machonis. Ann had been a faithful Christian for 10 years, her life being dramatically changed for the better. These last two years of trial for her through cancer have done a very deep and eternal work of faith in her. She was able to look to the hills for her help not trusting just in mankind. Her faith has been answered, her hope fulfilled and now she rests in the ever loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by one daughter, Candace Long of Greenbush; one son, Dakota Joseph Long of Bangor; one grandson, Aaron Leamon McKenney of Greenbush; her father, Joseph Machonis and his wife, Najla of Sunrise, Fla.; her mother, Dorothy and her husband, Harry Lamoureux of Fitchburg, Mass.; two sisters, Cheryl Devio of Margate, Fla., Melissa Paris of Sunrise, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph Machonis III, of Cooper City, Fla., John Machonis of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and one nephew. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at the Christ Covenant Lutheran Church, 57 Court St., Bangor, with the Rev. Joshua BenCanaan, pastor, officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments following the services Friday to the Church’s Fellowship Hall. Interment will be in the Christ Covenant Cemetery in Marshfield, Vt. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
