MILLINOCKET – Ethel M. Shedd, 80, died at a local hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004. She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Limestone, the daughter of Leo and Alice (Jandreau) Cowette. She was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, a member of the AARP, the Plus and Minus Club, Frances E. Elliott Post No. 4154, VFW Auxiliary, and Donald V. Henry Post No. 80, American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Shedd and his wife, Denise, of Lovelock, Nev., and Millinocket and Stuart Shedd of Neu Ulm, Germany; a daughter, Sharon Cyr and husband, Dana, of Millinocket; five grandchildren, Sheila White, Byron Shedd, Stuart Shedd Jr., Alison Shedd, and Angela Cyr; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dora Cousins and Pauline O’Brikis, both of Millinocket and Theresa Perrault of Caribou; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ormond Shedd; two grandchildren, Wayne Shedd and Dana Cyr; five sisters; and two brothers. Friends may call 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22 at R. L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket where the American Legion Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
